Rooster Recovery Unit Metal Car Emblem - UPHCE1007
Product Specifications
This is a premium three-layer emblem — a clear acrylic shield over a solid aluminum core, mounted on a rigid black ABS backing plate. The metal gives it the weight and the finish of factory trim, the acrylic takes the rain and the sun so the print never has to, and the ABS keeps the whole badge flat and solid behind.
Layer 1 — Clear acrylic shield (front): a 0.08" (2 mm) acrylic layer bonded over the printed face, sealing the color in behind a glass-clear coat.
Layer 2 — Solid aluminum core: one piece of real aluminum sheet, laser cut to the exact outline of the artwork. 0.04" (1 mm) of clean, bright metal — not a sticker, not plastic, not a thin stamped shim.
Layer 3 — Black ABS backing plate: 0.04" (1 mm) of rigid black ABS cut to the same outline. It keeps the badge dead flat, shields the metal from behind, and gives the 3M tape a proper surface to grip.
Total thickness: 0.16" (4 mm), so it sits proud of the paint and throws a shadow like a factory badge.
Finish: Full-color UV print cured hard onto the metal, then locked under the acrylic. The color will not crack, fade or peel the way a vinyl decal does.
Built for weather: acrylic on top, metal in the middle, ABS behind — rain, sun, road salt, snow and years of it. It ages like trim, not like a sticker.
Mounting: Pre-applied 3M high-bond adhesive on the ABS back. Peel and press — no drilling, no screws, no tools.
Sizes are by width: 4" (10 cm), 6" (15 cm) and 8" (20 cm) wide. You pick the width — the height follows the outline of the artwork.
Size Chart

Every emblem is cut to the shape of its own artwork, so width is the measurement you choose and the height comes out of the design. For this one:
| Size | Width | Height | Fits |
| Small | 4" (10 cm) | about 1.6" (3.9 cm) | Sedans and compact cars, motorcycle and ATV side panels, laptop lids, gun cases, cooler lids, dog box doors, the dash or glovebox of any truck |
| Medium | 6" (15 cm) | about 2.3" (5.9 cm) | The sweet spot for most vehicles — SUV and crossover liftgates, car trunk lids, truck bed sides and fenders, toolbox lids, gun safes, kennel doors |
| Large | 8" (20 cm) | about 3.1" (7.9 cm) | Full-size pickups — F-150, Silverado, RAM, Tundra — across the tailgate or the bed side, plus trailers, truck caps, chest freezers and the shop wall |
Measure the flat area before you order. The emblem needs a smooth, flat surface to bond properly — it will not sit right across a deep body line or a curved bumper rib.
Where People Put Them
Tailgate and bed sides are the obvious ones, and they are what most people buy it for — the badge reads clean from three cars back at a stoplight. After that it goes on whatever else is yours: the dog box, the gun safe, the chest freezer in the garage, the lid of the rolling toolbox, the cooler that lives in the truck bed, the kennel door, the shop fridge, the trailer that hauls the four-wheeler.
Because it mounts with adhesive instead of screws, people also use it indoors — a bare spot on the shop wall, a man cave shelf, the door of a reloading room.
Why It Makes A Good Gift
A hunter who has been at it for twenty years already owns every call, every knife and every set of boots he needs. What he does not have is something that puts his hunting on his truck, and that is a hard thing to buy for yourself without feeling silly about it.
That makes it an easy one for Christmas, Father's Day, birthdays, a new truck, retirement, or the end of a season. It is small enough to ship flat in an envelope, it needs no sizing and no guessing, and it costs less than a box of shells. It also does not sit in a drawer — the day it arrives it goes on the tailgate.

Fitting Tips
- Clean first: wipe the spot with rubbing alcohol and let it dry. Wax and road film are what make badges fall off, not the tape.
- Warm is better: apply above 60°F if you can, then press firmly for 30 seconds.
- Give it a day: the bond reaches full strength in about 24 hours — skip the pressure washer until then.
